The Bayelsa food and drink festival will promote the food culture of the Bayelsa people and offer a platform for dozens of small and growing businesses, especially food entrepreneurs to increase brand visibility and sales. Food vendors, chefs and beverage makers will have a chance to showcase their latest products, cuisines, trends and innovations within the food and drink industry. Guests will get a chance to discover new and exciting brands, products and innovation within the food industry and also have the feel of having all kinds of dishes, from local to international in one place under a relaxed and entertaining atmosphere.

The Bayelsa Food and Drinks festival will feature at least 50 or more vendors and 25 professional chefs; the event will span for 4 days and will feature other side attractions including music, comedy, street food competition, food parade, eating/drinking competition and a dinner/award night where some of the most creative vendors and chefs will be recognized.

Participating vendors and chefs will be assigned to different spots at the festival venue from where they are expected to prepare and display some of their most creative and signatures dishes. All spots will have a sitting area where guests can briefly sit and have an experience of what the vendor/chef has to offer. While activities are on at the festival location the festival team will lead street food competitions in selected areas of Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital. The festival will also have a handful of side attractions.
For complete inclusivity, the festival will provide special stands for each of the eight local government areas in the state.
